Planning Built Around Your Whole Life
Planning Built Around Your Whole Life
We help busy, successful people in Portsmouth and throughout New Hampshire organize, simplify, and take control of their finances – so they can worry less and enjoy more. We are independent and fiduciary, which means every recommendation we make is in your best interest. Period.
Money isn’t the only thing – but feeling genuinely empowered about your finances has a direct impact on every other area of your life. According to the American Psychological Association, money is consistently the number one source of stress in U.S. households, year after year, regardless of the economic climate. That stress doesn’t have to be yours.
At Whole Wealth Management, we define financial well-being through three interconnected qualities. When your financial life is well-planned and actively managed, all three become possible – not as distant goals, but as the natural result of having a real plan in place.
Financial control means understanding your full picture – what you have, what you owe, what you earn, and where it’s all going – and having a clear strategy that keeps everything working together. When you feel in control of your finances, the daily decisions that once felt anxious become straightforward. We help you get there and stay there.
Financial confidence is knowing that your plan is sound, your decisions are informed, and that someone who knows your situation is actively looking out for you. It’s the feeling of being genuinely prepared – for retirement, for the unexpected, and for the future you want to build. Jeff and Lynda provide that confidence through planning that’s honest, rigorous, and built around your life.
Financial freedom isn’t just about wealth – it’s about what wealth makes possible. It’s the ability to focus on what matters most to you, rather than on the financial decisions that would otherwise consume your attention. When your money is working efficiently for your life, your time and energy belong to the things that actually define it.
– Henry David Thoreau
Every client comes to us at a different stage of their financial journey. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we tailor our planning to where you are right now – and where you want to go from here.
You’re saving and growing – building the financial foundation that will support your lifestyle, your family, and your eventual retirement. You’ve made good decisions to get here, but you’re ready for a real strategy and an expert partner to help you make the most of them. We help you maximize what you’re doing, fill the gaps you may not know exist, and build a coordinated plan that grows with you.
You’re in or approaching retirement – and the financial questions have changed. It’s no longer about saving; it’s about converting what you’ve accumulated into a retirement paycheck that’s reliable, tax-efficient, and built to last. It’s also about making sure your wealth is protected and positioned to benefit the people and causes you care about most.

What does a fiduciary financial advisor do?
A fiduciary financial advisor is legally and ethically required to act in your best interest at all times – not in the interest of a product, a commission, or a firm incentive. In practice, this means every recommendation is made based solely on what’s right for your situation. At Whole Wealth Management, we operate as fiduciaries for all planning and investment management services. That standard shapes every conversation and every decision we make on your behalf.
How is Whole Wealth Management different from a bank, brokerage, or robo-advisor?
Banks and brokerages are typically held to a suitability standard – meaning they must recommend products that are appropriate for you, but not necessarily the best option available. Robo-advisors manage investments algorithmically without knowledge of your full financial picture. At Whole Wealth Management, we are independent fiduciaries who provide comprehensive, personalized financial planning and investment management – coordinated across retirement, taxes, estate, and insurance – and managed by people who know your name and your situation. That combination is genuinely difficult to find elsewhere.
How much does it cost to work with Whole Wealth Management?
Our financial planning fees typically range from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the complexity of your situation. Investment management services are offered on a fee basis ranging from 0.50% to 1.50% of assets under management. We are transparent about our fee structure from the beginning – there are no hidden costs, no surprise commissions, and no financial incentive for us to recommend one solution over another. The first conversation is always complimentary and carries no obligation.
How do I know if I need a financial advisor?
A financial advisor adds the most value when your financial life has meaningful complexity – multiple accounts, a retirement transition approaching, a business, an inheritance, tax efficiency questions, or simply the sense that your finances need a coherent strategy rather than a collection of separate decisions. That said, the most common thing we hear from new clients is that they wish they’d started sooner. If you’re wondering whether you need guidance, that question itself is usually a good sign that a conversation would be worthwhile.
Is my money safe with an independent financial advisor?
Yes – and the safeguards are meaningful. Your investment assets are held in custody with National Financial Services (NFS), not with Whole Wealth Management directly. This means your accounts are protected through SIPC up to $500,000 (including $250,000 in cash claims). We’re happy to walk you through exactly how your assets are protected – it’s a question we welcome.
Financial well-being doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of good decisions, made consistently, within a plan that’s built around your whole life – your values, your goals, and the future you’re working toward. That’s what we help you build.
The next step is simple, and it costs nothing. Schedule a free, no-obligation discovery call with Jeff and Lynda. We’ll listen to where you are, what you’re thinking about, and whether Whole Wealth Management is the right fit to help you get where you want to go. If we are, we’ll tell you how. If we’re not, we’ll tell you that too.
You are a person, not a number. That’s how we’ll treat you from the very first conversation.
